Overview

The Double Swing Hinge Package provides swift opening for emergency situations.

Combining the Intastop Double Swing Continuous Geared and Removable Doorstop this unique patented anti-barricade package offers quick opening in emergency situations.

This package is ideal for doors such as bedroom and toilet which are required to swing 90° in both directions (180°) where a closer is not required. Mental Health has special dispensation which states a closer can be exempt on fire doors to bedrooms in mental health accommodation (HTM05-02, see pages 28 and 54 under Technical Downloads tab). Note: for mental health applications, exposed intumescent can be cut to 150mm strips, please specify when ordering.

There is no unlocking of hinge required, enabling rapid opening of door in outward direction.

For improved acoustic performance a full mortice automatic door bottom is now available to suit the Double Swing Hinge.

Benefits:
Quick easy opening of doors in opposite direction for
   emergency situations
Eliminates possibility of pivot doors splitting on impact
Full privacy; no visible gap between door and frame
No scalloping of frame, rounding of door or floor
   modifications required
